Get setup for Random Forest Hackathon and Workshops

Dear Participant,

We look forward to seeing you at Random Forest Hacks on January 5, 2025, a full day of fun, learning, and hacking! As the date approaches, here are key details to help you prepare.


Location & Time:

  • Venue & Address: Zoho Corporation, 4141 Hacienda Dr, Pleasanton, CA
  • Date & Time: Sun, Jan 5th - Check-in starts at 7:30 AM, event begins promptly at 8:30 AM

Pre-Hackathon Checklist:

  • Sign Up for Devpost: We will use Devpost for Team Formation / Judging, so ensure you're signed up! Create an account on Devpost and join our hackathon/workshops using this link: https://randomforest.devpost.com/ 
  • Waiver Form: Bring the completed form (attached) for a quick check-in or fill at the event counter.
  • Ensure all your teammates register—it's essential for logistics and food orders. Need a team? Don’t worry, we have an assigned time slot to help you find one on the event day. 
  • Bring the Essentials: Laptop and charger, notebook, pen, water bottle
  • Photo ID required for check-in: Student must be 13+, with School ID or Driver's License
  • Food: We’ll provide lunch and snacks during the event.


Schedule (Tentative):

On the event day, you can choose workshops, hackathon, or both. Here is a brief overview of the schedule.

  • 07:30 am - 08:30 am: Arrival, Check-in, Network

  • 08:30 am - 09:30 am: Opening Ceremony, Keynote From LinkedIn VP of Eng, Schedule Review

  • 09:30 am - 12:30 pm: Hackathon Starts: Team Formation | DevPost, Data Science Workshops.

  • 12:30 pm - 01:30 pm: Lunch

  • 01:30 pm  - 05:00 pm: Hackathon Continues | GitHub, DevOps workshops

  • 05:00 pm: Hackathon Submissions due, Judging Starts

  • 05:30 pm: Awards & Closing Ceremony

During the Event:

  • Hackathon project code must be written only during Sunday’s hacking period.
  • Follow the event schedule to be on track with the workshops/hackathon timeline.
  • Please do not enter marked spaces with “No Entry” signs in the event buildings.
  • Some areas in the building are "No Food/Drink" zones; only water is allowed.
